Gerald Posner is an investigative journalist,author[1] He moved into journalism from the practice of law from the Wall Street law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, although he remains of counsel, dealing with the interaction of journalism and the law, to the firm he founded, Posner and Ferrara.

He contributes to NBC, the History Channel, CNN, Fox News, CBS, and MSNBC. In 2009 he was the Chief Investigative Reporter for The Daily Beast.

Among his book topics are Josef Mengele[2] and the assassination of John F. Kennedy.[3] In the latter, he argues that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.

Education

  • Undergraduate political science major, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, University of California at Berkeley (1975), where he was also a national debating champion, winner of the Meiklejohn Award
  • Hastings Law School (1978), he was an Honors Graduate and served as the Associate Executive Editor for the Law Review
