Standard polymer synthesis:  anionic synthesis, free radical synthesis, polycondensation synthesis.  Characterization Techniques:  Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Melt Flow Index (MFI), Infrared Spectroscopy (IR), UV-vis,  Light Scattering (Dynamic and Static), and Rheology.
