Hello! I'm a licensed acupuncturist with a prior career as a medicinal chemist. I earned my Master's degree in Chemistry from Harvard University (1989) and worked in pharmaceutical research and development. In 1996 I decided to change careers and start a family. I studied acupuncture under distinguished Chinese doctors at the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, graduating in 2000, and then began a private practice. I have a son with nonverbal autism and am a supporter of the autism rights movement.
Why am I a member of Citizendium? Because, perhaps naively, I tend to agree with the Badfinger lyric that "successful conversation will take you very far".
