Future development

This ought evolve into a subpaged catalog of OSs, with brief descriptions, logos, links, etc..  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 01:54, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

Catalog of computer operating systems :-)  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 01:56, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
Not to be cantankerous, but I'm not so sure I agree with the idea of a catalog. At least for now, we have a huge job on our hands just to get the basic articles developed. I recommend leaving the idea of a catalog for sometime far in the future. Besides, some of the items on the list are mostly imaginary, or in the past, so they probably don't have logos, and I'm not sure the info about each OS will fit so easily into template format. Surely, for now, a list linking out to detailed articles ought to be sufficient.Pat Palmer 15:27, 22 September 2007 (CDT)

I'd like to see some structure develop eventually; maybe divide them into current and historic, and then the historic ones, maybe list them in order of development, or by machine type (back in the days before portable OS's :-), or something? J. Noel Chiappa 18:21, 18 March 2008 (CDT)
