Saxony (German: Sachsen) is a federal state of Germany. Its capital is Dresden, while the largest city in Saxony is Leipzig. Saxony has an area of 18,417.16 km²[1] and a population of 4.236 millions[2].
Government
Currently, Saxony is governed by a cabinet consisting of ministers from CDU and SPD. The cabinet is led by minister president Georg Milbradt (CDU).
The last election for the Landtag in 2004, which is the local parliament of Saxony, yielded in the following result:
