The Renault F1 Team is a British Formula One motor racing team based at Enstone in Oxfordshire (chassis works) and at Viry-Châtillon in Essonne (engine works). Renault began life as Toleman Motorsport in 1981, becoming Benetton Formula upon the team's purchase by the Benetton family in 1986, and the Renault F1 Team in 2002 following its takeover by the Renault SA car company two years previously.
