Education: BA (Biblical Studies)1990; Bachelor of Divinity, 1994; Master of Philosophy (Old Testament) 1998; PhD Candidate - Queen's University Belfast (QUB)

Experience: Ordained minister of Presbyterian Church in Ireland, 1995.

Teaching Assistant in QUB faculty of Theology 1994-1998, 2005; faculty of Education 2005. Lecturer in Old Testament, Presbyterian Church of East Africa Theological College 1999-2005. Academic Dean of college 2001-2003.

Currently Chief Executive of Mission Africa

Research and Interests: Main academic research interests - Old Testament, especially the Book of Chronicles; East African church history; the Kenya Emergency; Mau Mau; Irish and Kenya security forces; modern small arms.

Member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary GC Historical Society.

Member of the Royal African Society.
