I believe my strength is that my mind is flexible and my ethics unshakable. I also think I have a knack for finding middle ground. I will bring these qualities to the Editorial Council. My main thrust will be on CZ’s providing high quality content with a minimum of conflict.

We must come up with a workable plan for how to define and recognise non-academic expertise, and we must overhaul the workgroup setup. I do not favour the creation of hundreds of workgroups, as managing them will be unwieldy given our current small numbers.

If elected to Editorial Council, I will be vocal in my support for respect to all authors, credentialed or not.

I will be just as vocal in my insistence that when Editors are speaking (posting) in the subject(s) of their expertise, their posts are to be accorded the respect due such.

It is this balance, tenuous and imperfectly understood as it is, that distinguishes the Citizendium project from all others. It is something that we must get right if this experiment is to be lasting.
