I carried out an operation that restricts authors from moving the page, via the protect tab functions. It woulds be good to see if you can get them back on your watch list , if you can't, Ive got some more work to do. I'm unaware of the issue. I'm new to citizendium, and would like to get some feedback on writing style here before I wonder too far off; sadly it doesn't seem that math is very active here. | |||
I'm currently working on the [[elliptic curves]] entry, if you're in the mood to comment. Thanks, --[[User:David Lehavi|dlehavi]] 22:24, 17 February 2007 (CST) |

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!
You can find some more information about our collaboration groups if you follow this link Citizendium_Pilot:Discipline_Workgroups.You can always ask me on my talk page or others about how to proceed or any other question you might have.
Kind Regards,

Copying from WP
Hi Joseph,
Welcome!
I notice you've copied several Wikipedia articles here. Are these articles you plan to work on here? If so, great! If not, well...please don't copy them, then. On this, see: CZ:How to convert Wikipedia articles to Citizendium articles
That page needs work but it should give you an idea. --Larry Sanger 10:13, 9 February 2007 (CST)
Hi Jospeh,
As far as I can tell, the box is not related to the actual edit but to the global content of the article we are editing. So we check it on every edit, as long as the page contains any text copied from WP (this assures that the proper message appears at the bottom). And yes, sometimes it is not clear whether an article is WP-free (at least it wasn't 100% clear to me in the SOC case). I rechecked the box since I found a few phrases identical with WP ones. Perhaps, if you rework it further, this would be no more apropriate? :) --Alex Halicz (hello) 07:37, 10 February 2007 (CST)
PS. I admit that I'm WP-inspired too. I've observed, however, that at least for some articles the results tend to be better if I start from scratch. That makes more fun, BTW! --Alex Halicz (hello) 07:37, 10 February 2007 (CST) PS' BTW stand for "by the way", and not for "Bak-Tang-Wiesenfeld" ;)
I carried out an operation that restricts authors from moving the page, via the protect tab functions. It woulds be good to see if you can get them back on your watch list , if you can't, Ive got some more work to do. I'm unaware of the issue. David Tribe 17:24, 14
