I thought mayonnaise just came in a jar :-) -- Matt Innis (Talk) 19:35, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

My wife grew up on a farm in extreme rural America. They raised their own food. I once asked my mother-in-law what she did buy at the grocery. She paused, thought, then replied, "Hellman's Mayonnaise." ---Stephen Ewen 20:51, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Exxxaaactlyy :))) That's real mayonnaise. --Matt Innis (Talk) 20:56, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
West of the Mississippi: "Best Foods". It seems to have established pretty much the standardized American taste for Mayo.... I keep a bottle around to use for tuna-salad sandwiches and such like, along with some Miracle Whip to mix in, plus the homemade stuff to put on the bread first....
