A carnivore is any animal that feeds predominantly on other animals in its primary diet (e.g. lion, tiger, dog). An animal may be a carnivore regardless of its size; an ant, for example, can be carnivorous.
Animals that exclusively eat plants are herbivores, while those that eat plants and animals are omnivores.
