Let me try to explain...
There's a principle I've always felt rather strongly about...I'm not sure it's in CZ:Naming Conventions but it should be if not. It's that, if there is a word that has a common English meaning, but it is, in the common English meaning, not really a proper title for an article, and if somebody wants to write an article about some relatively specialized topic that goes by the same word, then the latter article should receive a disambiguated title, even if it is the only article that uses the title. "Try" in the Rugby sense is a perfect example. Here's another principle: if I am familiar with some common (or even uncommon) meanings of some titles, then the titles alone should allow me to distinguish the topics of the articles without even clicking on the article. With "Try," when I saw it on Recent Changes, I was very intrigued: was it going to be about trying, effort, or some such thing? I had to click through to the article to tell. I didn't know: maybe somebody had something to say about trying and started the article under the unusual title "Try" instead of, say, "Effort."
This is all by way of trying to explain why I think this article should live at Try (rugby) or some such, even if it is the only article titled "Try." --Larry Sanger 18:46, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

If we've got this article, could we try to write an article about rugby perhaps? --Larry Sanger 18:48, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
- See Rugby union :) Chris Day 18:57, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Ummmm...should rugby be redirected, or is it not always the same as rugby union? --Larry Sanger 22:03, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
- There is rugby league and rugby sevens so we'll need to set up a disambiguation page. Chris Day 22:07, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
