Marine 3 is a fireboat commissioned by San Diego, California's Lifeboat Service in 2015.[1]
She supplemented the Service's own Marine 1 and Marine 2, as well as other fireboats operated in San Diego by other agencies, like the San Diego Harbor Police.[1][2]
The vessel is a 38 foot vessel, capable of travelling at 38 knots.[1] Her two pumps can each project 1,200 gallons per minute.[3] Alternately they can pump water from vessels at risk of sinking.
