I have a deep affection for Citizendium, and though I am busy I think this is an important job that I'd be willing to do, if the Community so wishes. I've been here since the start, and was particularly active in the early days before the other demands on my time became too oppressive. I think those here who have come to know me know that I am a scientist who believes strongly in the importance of giving the evidence and explaining the logic behind conclusions, but also the importance of leaving the reader scope to think for themselves. I don't like arguments from authority, or bombastic delivery of obvious truths, not least because they alienate the uncommitted reader. We don't have to shout to make our points, we just have to show that they are well founded. |
