Vampire (supernatural) [r]: Supernatural creature common in many myths and legends that feasts on (usually human) blood (alternatively, a human who drinks blood); attributes otherwise vary widely across cultures - some characteristics include: being in an undead state; immortality; sensitivity to sunlight; resting by day in coffins or underground; being killed by a stake through the heart; preference for evening wear; the ability to transform into a bat; not showing up in mirrors; and being repelled by a variety of substances including holy water, running water, crucifixes, and garlic.
