I am a first-year student of the Erasmus Mundus Program ALGANT (Algebra, Geometry, and Number Theory)--a joint degree in pure mathematics financed by the European Commission and hosted between the universities at Bordeaux (FR), Paris-11 (FR), Padova (IT), and Leiden (NL). I received my bachelors from Albion College, in Albion Michigan, in Spring 2006.

I am currently studying (more or less) algebraic geometry, algebraic number theory, representation theory, and homological algebra. I am currently studying at the University of Padova and plan to finish my masters in Orsay in Spring 2008.

I am primarily interested interested in pure mathematics, the 'mathematization' of the sciences, race relations, and the compositions for piano by Sergei Prokofiev.
