How to use this form

Step one

Acquaint yourself with Citizendium's media policies. All media not in accordance with these policies are subject to speedy deletion by constables acting on their own recognizance.

Step two

Visit The license tags collection. Follow the directions there to select the appropriate license. Or, select the appropriate license from the below drop-down list (if it is available there yet).

Step three

Select, copy, and then paste the text below into the form below and follow the directions.

|Description= Replace this sentence with a description of the media you are uploading.

|Source= Replace this sentence with info about where you got the image, usually a website such as http://www.website.org

|Date= Replace this sentence with the date the photo was taken, if known.

|Author= Replace this sentence with info about who took the photo and/or who holds or held the copyright

|Permission= Replace this sentence with the license template you were guided to make by following Step two, making sure the license/copyright/permission data you add matches with the data from the media's source; or at the least, write out the license data.

|other_versions= Delete this sentence or replace it with such information, if applicable.

Everything to the right of the equals signs (=) describes what you need to do.

Additional help

To view or search previously uploaded images, go to the list of uploaded files. Uploads and deletions are also logged in the upload log.

To include the image in a page, use a link in the form [[{{ns:image}}:File.jpg]], [[{{ns:image}}:File.png|alt text]] or [[{{ns:media}}:File.ogg]] for directly linking to the file.
