North Korea (in Korean: Bukjoseon; oficially: Joseon Minjujueui Inmin Gonghwagukofficially, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea) is a state in the northern side of Korea, between China and South Korea. Its capital and largest city is Pyongyang. Korea was split into two countries following World War II, and the North has been ruled by a communist, Soviet inspired dictatorship under Kim-Il Sung and his son Kim Il-Jong ever since.
