"Knowledge is power. But power is not the acquisition of knowledge; it is not the elites collecting items of data. Rather, power is the practice of knowledge as a socially constructed system, within which the elites spread their messages or discourses."

Callum G. Brown explaining Foucault's Archaeology of Knowledge in Postmodernism For Historians (2005)

I'm here to help.

I'm an independent writer and researcher living in Mountain View, California. I earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College. My earlier undergraduate work focused on English Literature, Philosophy and Cognitive Science at NC State University. I attended San José State University where I studied Geography and History at the graduate level. I have training and work experience in geospatial technologies and continue to enjoy creating maps for various projects using open source GIS tools and watercolors. I have over 15 years of experience as a web developer. I am researching and writing a book about the intersection of embodiment and epistemology when not working on a botanically-related app.

Notes to Self
