Paranthropus robustus is a species of fossil hominin that lived in southern Africa between approximatly 1.9 million years and just over 1 million years ago when it presumably becomes extinct[1].. While it is the most numerous early hominin fossil discovered in southern Africa, it has only been found at sites within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage site[1]. All of the sites listed below are breccia caves. No P. robustus fossils have as of yet been found in a fluvial or lacustrian context.
