Scrolling ref

This may be a problem in the long term. It is great to compact the ref section but really bad to print since none of the references are accessible. Try pushing the print button at the top of the draft article to see what i mean. Chris Day (talk) 19:46, 27 July 2007 (CDT)

Consulates vs. U.N. Missions

I separated the mention of the United Nations from the figures about the number of consulates in New York, since the two are not related. Consulates provide services to citizens of their own countries and of the U.S., and deal with the federal and local governments but not with the United Nations. Member countries of the U.N. have separate Permanent Missions to the U.N., headed by an Ambassador rather than a Consul, that deal with the U.N. but not with the U.S. government. Even a very small country (e.g. St. Vincent) may have both a consulate and a Permanent Mission with separate staffs and located in different buildings. Bruce M.Tindall 12:21, 28 November 2007 (CST)
