Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte is the administrative capital of Sri Lanka. It is also called Kotte and the New Capital territory. The Parliament of Sri Lanka has been here since its new building was inaugurated in 29 April 1982. Kotte is located off the Eastern suburbs of Colombo and its population is 115,826.
