Pumpkin pie is a made using a single pie crust, filled with a spiced pumpkin filling, that is poured into the crust and baked. Spices normally used to make Pumpkin pie include cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Sugar is added for sweetness while egg and milk add liquid and protein. Pumpkin pie is normally served at Thanksgiving.
