Torcetrapib is/was a drug used to modulate cholesterol levels by its inhibition of cholesteryl ester transferase protein (CETP). Similar medications include anacetrapib and dalcetrapib.

Chemistry

The chemical name of torcetrapib is (2R,4S)-4-[(3,5-Bis-trifluoromethylbenzyl)methoxycarbonylamino]-2-ethyl-6-trifluoromethyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-quinoline-1-carboxylic acid ethyl ester.
