Sterling Seagrave is an author and journalist specializing in Asia. He is of the fifth generation of a family that has had missionaries on the China-Burma border since 1832, where he grew up. Burma Surgeon is a well known book by his father, Gordon.

After four years as a reporter, writer, and assistant foreign news editor for The Washington Post, he spent ten years in Asia as a freelance journalist contributing to Life, Time, Esquire, Atlantic, Smithsonian, GEO, Readers Digest, and Far Eastern Economic Review.

His current efforts focus on books, some coauthored with his wife, Peggy. Certain of his writing does appear to be deep investigation, although other subjects may come closer to conspiracy theory.
