He is a specialist in international industrial marketing and his research interests and recent studies focus on the key role of ICT for contributing to the creation of an integrated and sustainable development model.

As a professional volunteer, he is the promoter and co-founder of Piazze Telematiche, a no-profit technical-scientific Association founded in 1993.

He has published numerous articles and editorials, co-authored feasibility studies finalized to support local public institutions, in particular municipalities and provinces, in the start-up of urban pilot projects involving the creation of Piazze Telematiche.

He works in the VAS-Value-added service marketing since 1980.

Before that he has gained international experiences working with the private sector, including in electric plant engineering and in the design of lifting machines for the construction industry.

His professional experience ranges from the design of information systems and on-line information services for Chambers of Commerce and Banks to sales of information products/services and of telematic services; to the implementation of Telecentres infrastructure in 12 italian cities; to cartography and Geographic Information Systems.

He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rome-Italy.
