How to upload and place images
Step one: do exactly what this page says
This page does much more than just host the image for your article. People peruse Citizendium for media to reuse,and it must be documented to very high standards. All media not in accordance with Citizendium's media policies policies are subject to speedy deletion by constables acting on their own recognizance. If you do exactly what this page says, you will almost always avoid problems.
Step two: document your image
Select, copy, and then paste the text below, exactly as shown, into the Summary form below, and follow the directions. Text to the right of the equals signs (=) describes what you need to do.

|Description= Replace this sentence with a detailed description of the media you are uploading.
|Author= Replace this sentence with info about who took the photo and/or who holds or held the copyright (MUST be a real name or official entity). Add any verifying links that may be available.
|Date= Replace this sentence with the date the photo was taken, if known; or, estimate it. If you are unsure, leave the preceding sentence alone but remove this one.
|Source= Replace this sentence with *exact* data about where you got the image, usually a webpage such as http://www.acmemuseum.org/collections/history/sahara.html. People *must* be able to verify the data as found at the image's source.
|Country first published in= Replace this with United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Argentina, etc.

Step three: image licensing
Select the appropriate license from the drop-down list below.

Step four: uploading
Upload your media! Click "Browse..." to begin.
Step five: place your image in the article
Open this page in a new browser tab and follow the directions there about attributing and placing images in articles.
