Paranthropus robustus is a species of fossil hominin that lived in southern Africa between approximatly 1.9 million years and just over 1 million years ago when it presumably becomes extinct. While it is the most numerous early hominin fossil discovered in southern Africa, it has only been found at sites within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage site.
