Bioprocess/Definition

A bioprocess is any process that uses complete living cells or their components (e.g., bacteria, enzymes, chloroplasts) to effect desired physical or chemical changes. In biotechnology, it is used for the production of a number of proteins that prove to be immensely useful to mankind.
