Kahahana (1758 - 1783) was the 22nd Alii Aimoku of Oahu and King of Molokai, ruling as the titular King or chieftain of the island of Oahu and its tributary, the island of Molokai, from the year 1773 until his death in 1783). He was elected by the Oahu nobility to succeed Kumahana as Moi of Oahu. His was the second king of Oahu to be elected to succeed to the throne of Oahu, the first being Mailikukahi who was his ancestor. With his downfall Oahu ceased to be an independent state, and became a tributary to the Maui kings, with whose history it thenceforth became associated. [1]
