World Council of Churches [r]:
An ecumenical organisation which describes itself as "a fellowship of churches which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the scriptures".[1] The members are largely Protestant or Orthodox churches. The Roman Catholic Church is not a member.
