The Toronto Transit Commission's Sunnyside Loop is located adjacent to its Roncesvalles Carhouse.[1] It was opened on July 26, 1922, a year after the newly created public TTC took over operating Toronto's streetcars from the private Toronto Railway Corporation, when its contract expired.[2] A bus terminal was added on December 21, 1936.

The loop is named after the nearby Sunnyside entertainment complex.[3]
