Fight Club and nitroglycerin
I'm not sure how to add this little bit of book and movie trivia: In the story Fight Club, glycerol, used to create nitroglycerin, was extracted from human fat stolen from liposectomy clinics.
- There's some question as to whether that "technique" is accurate; I think in either the liner notes of the special 2-disc dvd version or in the commentary audio track it was stated that Chuck P. fudged the making of it on purpose as he did not want to give away the "recipie", dissuading arsonists. --Robert W King 20:39, 5 September 2007 (CDT)
