Aurora was a 1980s jazz fusion supergroup, featuring Don Preston (keyboards), Peter Erskine (drums), Marty Krystal (saxophonist), and Buell Neidlinger (bass guitar). Touring essentially as a three-piece nucleus, former Frank Zappa alumnus Preston joined shortly before the band released their eponymous album, recorded in Japan, in 1989.
