In U.S. military doctrine, concealment, according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, encompasses "protection from observation or surveillance." Electronic warfare includes a wide range of concealment methods, including jamming sensors so they cannot detect the object of interest, or using deceptive decoys to draw attention from the real object or electronic signal.
