Mervyn Peake

Mervyn Peake (1911-1968) was an English writer, particularly of fantastical novels such as the 'Titus trilogy'.

Life

Mervyn Peake was born in China in 1911 and educated at Tientsin Grammar School, Eltham College, Kent and Academy Schooles. His first publishing acheivement was a book of poetry, Shapes & Sounds, published in 1941.
