Moscow (Russian: Москва́ Moskva) is the capital city of Russia. It has a population of over 10 million. It is situated on the Moskva River, and is the most populous city in Russia as well as Europe, with a total of 11,503,501 citizens, as counted by the 2010 census.

Transport

The Moscow Metro, a subway system, covers much of the city; the stations are known for their exquisite architecture. It has three major international airports: Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo.

Attractions

Saint Basil's Cathedral, a sixteenth-century Russian Orthodox church, is situated on Moscow's Red Square, as is the Kremlin.
