The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) are Marxist rather than Islamist groups within the Palestinian political system. While they were highly visible terrorist groups in the 1970s and early 1980s, they have been eclipsed by religious groups such as Hamas and more centrist groups such as Fatah.

The PFLP was a spinoff of the Palestine Liberation Organization, and the DFLP and PFLP_GC split from it.
