South Korea (Korean: Nam-han), officially the Republic of Korea (Korean: Dae-han Min-guk,[1]),[2] is a constitutional republic comprising the southern part of the Korean peninsula. The country is part of East Asia, a geographic and cultural identity that is shared with its neighbors, including North Korea, Japan, and China. Yellow Sea and the Sea of Japan (East Sea) respectively. The capital is Seoul.
