::These photos are old and the provenance is murky. The former was taken at the Eliava Institute in the Soviet Union, which I am pretty sure did not even HAVE copyright law at the time. It was published in Science 25 October 2002:Vol. 298. no. 5594, pp. 728 - 731 DOI: 10.1126/science.298.5594.728 and credited COURTESY OF A. SULAKVELIDZE who is Alexander Sulakvelidze, a founder of Intralytix Inc. The latter is reproduced in many places without any indication given for its source.
