Gosu Cave (고수동굴) is a limestone cave near Danyang (North Chungcheong Province), South Korea. It is amongst the most famous natural caves in Korea and listed as the country's "Natural Monument No. 256". The cave is open to the public, equipped with 1.7 km of metal walkways for visitors.

Features of the cave

The cave, 1300 metres deep, is inhabited by 25 species of animals. There are stalactites and stalagmites to fascinate researchers. Prehistoric tools have been found near the cave entrance.

Tourism

The cave is open every day for tourists year-round, and gets the most visitors on hot summer days; the interior of the cave is cool, being a steady 15 degrees C year-round, and in winter gloves are recommended for holding the cool metal railings.
