Oxford University Press, which increasingly calls itself OUP, is a major international publisher of more than 200 academic and research journals, especially in the life sciences, mathematics, physical sciences, medicine, social sciences, humanities, and law. A substantial number of these titles is published in partnership with prestigious learned societies. Many academic libraries have subscriptions to the full-text online versions of all articles.

OUP is equally famous for its scholarly books, dictionaries and reference works, most notable the Oxford English Dictionary. A large proportion of these works is also online by subscription at many academic libraries.

The main offices of OUP are in Oxford, England, with branches in New York City and other major cities.

In October 2007 the press announced the first issue of the Journal of Topology, published on behalf of the London Mathematical Society.
