Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice is a 1969 comedy film directed by Paul Mazursky, which dealt with the sexual revolution, open marriage and human potential movement, from the perspective of two couples
- Bob (Robert Culp) and Carol (Natalie Wood)
- Ted (Elliot Gould)) and Alice (Dyan Cannon)
In a bit of inside humor, Alice and Bob, and sometimes the other characters, are used to name roles in cryptography.
