Legally known as Boeing Company, Boeing is an aircraft and spacecraft development company in the Aerospace industry. The company, together with its subsidiaries, designs, develops, manufactures, sells, and supports: commercial jetliners, military aircraft, satellites, missile defense, human space flight and space launch systems.

Company Heritage

Company Operating Segments

Commercial Airplanes (CA)

A core company business has always been commercial aviation, beginning with the first all-metal commercial transport, the Boeing 247, in 1933. While Douglas and Lockheed -- firms later acquired by Boeing -- were strong domestic competitors, the Boeing 707 was the first commercially successful jet airliner and the Boeing 747 the first wide-body airliner dominated their fields.

Today, the company produces advanced models of its Boeing 727 and Boeing 747, as well as the newer Boeing 757, Boeing 767 (very similar aircraft optimized for different ranges), Boeing 777, and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
