Talk:Gravitation
In the article Solar system, someone changed a link from gravitation to gravity. Currently, the latter is red-linked. Rather than creating a redirect from gravity to gravitation, I suggest moving gravitation to gravity. The word "gravity" is clearer and more likely to be searched for. The meanings of the two words are nearly enough the same that there needn't be two articles. The page move process will leave a redirect from gravitation to gravity. Any comments or disucssion? - For me (as non-native speaker of English) gravitation sounds more natural than gravity. But a redirect from gravitation to gravity is fine by me.--Paul Wormer 06:37, 26 November 2007 (CST)
- PS I don't know how to move a page, or does a constable have to do that? --Paul Wormer 08:59, 26 November 2007 (CST)
Distance to WP article.
I removed some WP-babble and WP-repetitions and added an equation for the gravitational potential near the earth. I added also a line about Einstein + reference to Pais in history section. In the meantime the WP article has changed a lot too, so that the two articles have drifted apart quite a distance.--Paul Wormer 06:34, 26 November 2007 (CST)
