My name is Jamie Sawyer, and I am a 3rd year mathematician at the University of Warwick on a 4 year Masters course. I am president of the Warwick Mathematics Society for 07/08, and was Academic Support for 06/07. I run classes in the LaTeX typesetting language and wrote some online documentation to help other students. I also have presented a number of times at "Discussion Groups" and help weekly at "Maths Cafe" - for more information please see the WMS website at http://mathsoc.warwick.ac.uk/. I am focussing my studies on the areas of Dynamical Systems, and especially Complex Dynamics (Fractal Geometry). My 3rd year essay, which I am writing at the moment, is on the Böttcher Isomorphism in the case of f_c(z)=z^2+c. Particularly, I am considering the External Rays of Julia Sets and looking at whether they land. I have some posts on my 3rd year essay on my blog at http://mathmo.blogspot.com/.,
