Graduate in behavioral sciences (psychology, anthropology) from Macquarie University, with Honours in psychology from University of Tasmania, where I am presently a Master of Science candidate in Psychology, conducting research into the immediate stimulus vs. contextual influences on visual (word) recognition. This research particularly concerns the role of stimulus quality in relation to that of semantic and structural/visual contexts; the operation of stimulus-response sequential effects in visual (word) recognition; and the operation of these contextual and sequential effects in relation to future (predicted) stimulation as well as that of the past. Philosophical and theoretical psychological issues, particularly concerning the temporal conditions of psychological observation, semantic memory, and the "psi-phi" relationship, are an abiding context to these research interests. Statistical interests in psychology particularly concern the manner in which target-response categorical data (such as from forced-choice identification tasks) can be ever more informatively analyzed (e.g., in terms of periodic relationships, and clustering).
