I am from New England and I am a college student. I am studying Biology and plan to go on to laboratory research work or become a medical doctor. I want to be a member of Citizendium so that I can contribute my knowledge of areas of Biology to the Citizendium community. Currently, in one of my writing classes, we are working on an assignment in which we must write an article in the format and style of Citizendium, and possibly submit it for publishing. I wish to write my article on anthocyanins, a pigment material in many dark-colored berries and other plants, which is currently of interest as a potential cancer treatment. Currently there are a few articles, mostly about cancer research, that briefly mention anthocyanins, but link out to a blank page. I want to fill that page with further information about anthocyanins as it would be valuable for the Citizendium community.
