Tasks: start a new article • add basic, wanted or requested articles • add definitionsadd metadata • edit new pages

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! See CZ:Discipline Workgroups to add yourself to whichever author workgroups you choose. -- Stephen Ewen 21:25, 4 April 2007 (CDT)

Stubs

Matt, thanks much for your many contributions to CZ! I wonder if I might also persuade you to consider CZ:Policy Outline#Stubs. Also see the third item at CZ:Article Deletion Policy. Just a thought here—I certainly do not wish to throw any water on your good efforts. Stephen Ewen 01:02, 22 April 2007 (CDT)

I understand your concern, but I'm confused exactly to what you're referring. I think I have only created two new pages (Texas and The University of Texas at Austin) and they to the best of my knowledge are beyond stubs (although in need of lots of work). I have done a lot of clean up type activity. I have been adding categories, article checklists, fixing typos, getting rid of orphan and dead-end pages. Are you attributing some of these articles to me, or are you asking me to nominate those for speedy-delete instead of doing some of these clean up activities to them? I am just trying to understand your concern. Thanks again for your assistance. Matt Mahlmann 21:17, 22 April 2007 (CDT)

popups

Hi Matt, I notice you have been trying to load popups. In case you haven't found out yet, they don't work correctly yet, so it's not you! --Matt Innis (Talk) 20:24, 14 October 2007 (CDT)

Nevermind, It was wikEd you were working on, did it work? I haven't had any luck on anything in the monobook yet. --Matt Innis (Talk) 20:31, 14 October 2007 (CDT)
No, I couldn't get anything to happen. But, I'm very new in that area.Matt Mahlmann 21:15, 14 October 2007 (CDT)
Me, too. If you have a question, you can post it on the forums and someone will come along and answer it. Click on the communications link to the left of this page and you will see the forums link. --Matt Innis (Talk) 22:22, 14 October 2007 (CDT)

Subpages Issue

Matt: I'm not quite certain why you added subpages to an existing subpage? (Theodor Lohmann/Timelines). I've removed it until I get your explanation.

Roger Lohmann 05:43, 1 November 2007 (CDT)
Hi Roger, it's okay, the timelines (all subpages) were meant to have a {{subpages}} template on it, too. Mostly so that you can navigate easily to and from the rest of the article data. --Matt Innis (Talk) 09:41, 1 November 2007 (CDT)
Thanks for replying, Matt. I see, and I've put the subpages template back. Roger Lohmann 18:29, 1 November 2007 (CDT)
Hi, Matt. Curious why you added a subpage template to the Talk page at BPD, when there is one on the article page?...are they not redundant? Blessings... --Michael J. Formica 07:09, 12 November 2007 (CST)
See response on your talk page. Thanks.Matt Mahlmann 17:33, 12 November 2007 (CST)
