Hi - regarding your question about what new articles you can write: we don't have a lot of rules for that, except that self-promotion is prohibited, e.g. you cannot write an article about yourself or the company you work for (but educational institutes are permitted). Articles must also be ''maintainable'', i.e. can be improved and expanded. For example, a dictionary entry is unmaintainable. Beyond that, you can write what you like. We do not have a 'notability' policy as on Wikipedia. If you want to check, let me know of the sort of subjects you would like to write about. Thank you so much for your reply. Actually, I would like to work on the "Multiple Criteria Decision-Making" topic as the first article. To save time and resource, I strongly would like to know your opinion before working on it. The second point is, can I use my paper as a reference in necessary situations(I will not add unnecessary references and will cite objectively)? To be honest, I will try my best to avoid self-citation but sometimes I have to cite. I will try my best to write articles in the level of high-quality journals. Thank you. Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! John Stephenson (talk) 15:42, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

Thank you so much for your reply. Actually, I would like to work on the "Multiple Criteria Decision-Making" topic as the first article. To save time and resource, I strongly would like to know your opinion before working on it. The second point is, can I use my papers as a reference in necessary situations (I will not add unnecessary references and will cite objectively)? To be honest, I will try my best to avoid self-citation but sometimes I have to cite. I will try my best to write articles in the level of high-quality journals. Thank you.
